# Sign up and make a workspace Sign in with an email code (or Google, where it is offered), name your workspace, pick the first job you want off your plate, and land in a working workspace. URL: https://docs.qaldy.com/getting-started/sign-up/ Open [https://app.qaldy.com/signup](https://app.qaldy.com/signup). There is no password. :::steps 1. **Sign in.** Type your work email and press **Email me a code**. You get six digits by email. Type them in. If you are new to Qaldy, the same code starts your workspace. Where the screen offers **Continue with Google**, you can use that instead; the email code always works. 2. **Name your workspace.** Your company or team. Everything built here belongs to it, and you can rename it later. If your address is on a company domain, the name is suggested from it. Say how big the team is (just you, 2 to 10, 11 to 50 or 51 and more); this only sets the size of your island in the City. 3. **Pick the first job.** The second step asks "What should we take off your plate first?" Choose finance, sales, operations, support or dev and IT, then one of the three suggestions for it, or **Or describe it yourself**. One press plans it, builds it and runs it once. **Skip, just the sample app** gives you a working app on sample data instead. 4. **Open your City.** You land on the home screen with your first app already running. ::: ## What happened behind that - **You are the owner.** The person who creates a workspace owns it. You can [invite people](https://docs.qaldy.com/getting-started/share/) and hand ownership over later. - **The workspace is private.** Nobody else can see it until you invite them. Nothing you build is open to anyone until you share it. - **Where it runs.** The pilot runs in one place today. The console says so where it matters, and [Kazakhstan](https://docs.qaldy.com/kazakhstan/) explains what that means for residency. - **Limits that keep a pilot safe.** A person can create up to 10 workspaces. Codes expire, wrong tries lock a code, and asking for many codes in a short time makes you wait a minute. ## If the code does not arrive - Check the spam folder. The mail comes from `login@mail.qaldy.com`. - Wait for the countdown and press **Send a new code**. The old code stops working. - If the screen offers **Continue with Google**, use that instead. - Still nothing? [Message us on Telegram](https://t.me/tairqaldy) with the address you used. ## Joining a team that already uses Qaldy Open the invite link in the email. It only works for the address it was sent to, so sign in with that address. If your company has claimed its email domain, you may see **Join your team** on the first step instead; one press adds you with the role the admin chose (a member or a viewer, never more).
